Tree Plant listing/Register Online!
Registration begins 11/3/2007
WHY: Provide Cubs and Scouts with hands-on experience renewing and understanding the importance of our forests. Provide significant impact in Northwest reforestation.
WHEN: Every weekend from December through May, actual plant time is about 2 to 4 hours, plus travel time.
WHERE: Sites selected by public and private sponsors in locations ranging from the coast to the Cascades in the 15 counties of Oregon and Washington served by Cascade Pacific Council.
TRANSPORTATION: Each unit provides its own transportation.
LEADERSHIP: Each plant sponsor provides a supervisor to explain tree planting. Units provide three (3) adults per ten (10) youth for unit organization and control.
INCENTIVES: A segment (purchased from the Nor'west Scout Shop) is available for all Scouts who participated in the tree plant.
One Re-Tree Certificate will be given by the council to each participating unit.
One Guy Miller Tree Plant ribbon will be given to each unit that meets the requirement of 10 seedlings planted per Scout plus viewing the video. These items are available at the council office, volunteer service desk.
RESERVATIONS: Reservations can now be done online. When you signup you will know immediately which plant you will be participating in.
