Annual Eagle Scout Recognition Banquet
Each spring the Annual Eagle Scout Recognition Banquet recognizes the achievements of the Cascade Pacific Council’s finest youth members. Each new Eagle Scout is invited to a first-class event honoring the approximately 600 Scouts who earn the rank of Eagle Scout rank each year. Eagle Scout is the highest rank in the Boy Scouts of America. Only 3 out of every 100 that join the program achieve the coveted award. Many famous leaders have earned the rank of Eagle Scout including the late President Gerald Ford, director Steven Spielberg, Oregon Senator Gordon Smith, astronauts Jim Lovell and Neil Armstrong, singer-songwriter Lee Greenwood and adventurer Steven Fossett.
The Eagle Scout Recognition Banquet not only recognizes Eagle Scouts, but also raises money to support the council advancement program and heighten community awareness of some of the successes of the Scouting program. Todd Construction has proudly presented the event for the past five years. Other corporate and individual sponsorship opportunities are available.
Additionally, one Eagle Scout is honored with a $2,500 college scholarship, while four runners-up receive $500 scholarships. High school seniors who have earned the rank of Eagle Scout and have a minimum 3.5 grade point average are eligible to apply. Application form available to download on this website: see Advancement and Recognition, Scholarships for details.
