The American Legion Scout of the Year Scholarship,
Indianapolis, Indiana

An $8,000 scholarship will be awarded to the Eagle Scout selected as "The American Legion Scout of the Year." Three runners-up will each receive a $2,000 scholarship. The recipients are eligible to receive their scholarships immediately upon graduation from an accredited high school, and must utilize their awards within four years of their graduation date. The scholarship may be used to attend a school selected by the student providing it is state accredited above the high school level, and within the United States and its possessions. Applicants must be registered, active members of a Boy Scout Troop or Varsity Scout team sponsored by an American Legion Post or Auxiliary Unit or be a registered, active member of a duly chartered Boy Scout troop or Varsity Scout team and the son or grandson of an American Legion or Auxiliary member.
