Chief Obie Lodge Subcommittee Report
Several meetings occurred on-site at Chief Obie Lodge, sometimes including architects, structural engineers, plumbing, electrical and others to evaluate what we must do and what could we do. Major issues are the sprinkler system, roof, windows, and heating system. All other systems (plumbing, electrical, foundations, etc) are in solid shape requiring minor upgrades and improvements. Architect and structural engineering firms completed analysis of Chief Obie Lodge. Estimated costs for repairs, seismic upgrades, code compliance and fire suppression are in the $850,000 - $1 million range. This would not include remodeling the lodge for updated program usage.
