The Cascade Pacific Council has 14 different properties which can be reserved for short-term camping. During the summer many of them are used for week long camps, but the rest of the year they are available.
The Cascade Pacific Council, BSA policy regarding tour permits is: Local tour permits are required when the unit outing or trip meets any of the following criteria:
- Is more than 50 miles one way; or,
- Involves any of the following activities: skiing, swimming, boating, climbing and/or rappelling; or,
- Involves an overnight experience.
Local tour permits are to be completed two weeks prior to the unit outing. At least one adult on each trip must be currently Youth Protection Training certified and must carry the latest copy of the Guide to Safe Scouting.
For tours or trips 500 miles or over one way, a National tour permit application is required 30 days in advance.
