Enjoy a day on a private tubing hill right outside a warm mountain lodge on the slopes of Mount Hood.
Bring your family up to a Scout-owned mountain lodge for a day of tubing fun! The lodge is a warm place to retreat for hot cocoa, lunch or just to warm up after tubing and snow play.

COST: Daytime $8 per person age 7 and older Overnight $15 per person age 7 and older
CANCELLATIONS: Refunds are not available for this event. Winter weather conditions are not reason for a refund. The only exception is when ODOT closes the highway; in event of official highway closure, refunds are made in full.
FACILITY INFORMATION: The lodge is a large building with a day capacity of 225 persons. Four kitchens each feature sink, oven, stovetop, refrigerator, and a few pots and pans for simple cooking. Four restrooms are availabe. A large central lounge area surrounds a large central fireplace.
Four bunk rooms will provide overnight housing for up to four families on these weekends. Bunks are wooden so you may want to bring sleeping pads.
A tubing hill with several runs is just outside the lodge. Inner tubes are provided, and ONLY inner tubes may be used (for safety reasons). Participating adults will be asked to serve as Safety Officers to ensure safety on the tubing hill.
BRING:
- Warm clothes and footwear for tubing activities
- Cross country skis if you wish to ski on nearby trails
- A change of dry clothes for the drive home
- Lunch for your family. Suggestion is sandwiches or foods that don't require a lot of cooking...there are stoves, but there may be a number of families attending so stoves will need to be shared.
- Cocoa and/or other snacks for your family.
- Lots of energy for climbing up the tubing hills!
- Sled or toboggan for sliding gear in...but not for use on the tubing hill...only tubes are permitted on the hill.
DON'T BRING: Please do not bring pets, weapons, alcohol, controlled substances, snowmobiles.
BE AWARE: Guests must pack out all garbage brought in; there is no trash service in winter. Snowball throwing is not allowed. Tobacco may be used away from youth in parking lot. All families must provide a roster of names to satisfy Oregon Health Department rules, collected by the volunteer Winter Lodge Host on arrival.
