Now in its sixth year, the Cascade Pacific Council Sporting Clays Shoot Out, sponsored by Kerr Contractors, has evolved into one of the premiere sporting clays event in northwest Oregon. This extraordinary event brings together avid sportsmen, businessmen and Scouting supporters in a united effort to support the youth of our community and support the Scouting program.
While Cub Scouting and Boy Scouting remain a part of the American tradition for many, not all children have equal access or an understanding of the program. The Cascade Pacific Council places an ever-increasing emphasis on reaching out to under-served parts of our community. Proceeds from the Shoot Out are used to provide opportunities for young men and women to join Scouting.
Funds are used for recruitment materials, training materials, program materials and guidance in the delivery of the program.
In 2008, we are excited to have KXL Radio and Lars Larson join us at our event on May 16. Lars will be broadcasting live from the Shoot Out.
Brent Kerr, President of Kerr Contractors, is once again chairing, and sponsoring, this year’s event. Kerr Contractors, Inc is a full-service excavation, grading and utility contractor operating in Oregon, Washington, and California. Brent is an Eagle Scout and avid Scouting supporter.
