([ Portland], [Or], [04/29/05])—The Boy Scouts of America, Cascade Pacific Council will host the third Annual Sporting Clays Shoot Out sponsored by Kerr Contractors on Friday, May 6, at Mitchell’s Clay Target Sport Center in Gervais, Oregon. Over 140 participants are expected to test their marksmanship.
“I am pleased to sponsor and participate in this event that benefits youth with solid Scouting programs and mentors. This sport is competitive and challenging and allows participants to spearhead some healthy rivalry while attempting to hit elusive targets,” said Brent Kerr of Kerr Contractors.
Individuals will be challenged to hit 100 targets in more than 20 different sporting clays events and proceeds from the event will be used to expand local Scouting programs. Last year more than $12,750 was raised in support of Scouting programs.
