Sporting Clays Shootout

Every May at Mitchell’s Clay Target Sport Center, Gervais.

The Cascade Pacific Council Sporting Clays Shootout, presented by Kerr Contractors, has evolved into the largest single-day sporting clays event in the western United States. This extraordinary event brings together avid sportsmen, businessmen and Scouting volunteers for a fun day of competition to support local Scouting programs.

While Boy Scouting remains part of the American tradition for many families, not all children have equal access to or understanding of the program. The Cascade Pacific Council places an ever-increasing emphasis on reaching out to under-served parts of our community. Proceeds from the shootout are used to provide opportunities for young men and women to join Scouting. Funds are used for recruitment, training and program materials and guidance in the delivery of the program.

Eagle Scout Brent Kerr, president of Kerr Contractors, is once again chairing and sponsoring the event. Kerr Contractors, Inc is a full-service excavation, grading and utility contractor operating in Oregon, Washington, Idaho and California.
