How you can help

The Scouting organization depends on the help of many persons in many ways. Some like to give assistance in the form of financial contributions, others in volunteer hours, still others in equipment donations. All are valued, and all contribute to the success of the Scouting program in bringing positive life values and leadership training to the youth of our communities.

Please let us know your interests in Scouting by completing a quick survey.

If you're an Eagle Scout, please complete this short Eagle Scout Survey to help us with the Eagle Scout Search initiative.

If you're looking for ways you can help, here are a few suggestions:

Volunteer as a Leader or Assistant Leader

Every Scout belongs to an in-town unit, and each unit is led by qualified adult volunteers. You can get involved as an adult leader in a variety of roles. Please contact your local district executive by calling 503.226.3423; he or she can help you find a role that suits your talents and interests.

Adopt-A-Project

Each council camp has a list of projects that need adopting. By Adopting-A-Project, your unit, family, service club, church group, etc. can make a difference at the same time as having a lot of fun completing a project.

Volunteer at Camps

Camps are always in need of volunteer help, whether you're a plumber, electrician, carpenter, mechanic, or just someone who likes to get involved in fixin' and buildin'. Let us know your interests by completing a survey. You're also invited to get involved in a fun work weekend, an event held to get properties ready for summer activities.

Medical
Corps

We are building a corps of medical professionals (nurses, physicians, etc) who are interested in a week or two of summer holiday at a summer camp. If you're a medial professional, you could help out a camp while having a nice week at the beach, or at other summer camp properties. If interested, please contact the camping department at 503.226.3423.

Help with Council Events

If you're interested in helping with larger council events and projects, there may be opportunities for your skills to be utilized. Please call Rich Szymanzki at 503.225.5753.

Cash
Contributions

Friends of Scouting donations contribute directly to daily costs of providing Scouting to the 18 counties served by Cascade Pacific Council. You can make an online contribution now, or contact a district executive at 503.226.3423 to arrange a pledge for later payment.

Equipment
Donations

Camps and properties are continually in need of common consumables and equipment to keep the properties in good shape for Scouts. For a list of needed items, please click here.

Endowment
Gifts

The council has a growing endowment fund that is vitally important to the future of Scouting in our council. Your gift can help that fund provide Scouting now and well into the future. Please contact Mike Egan (503.225.5779) for assistance with your gift, which is greatly appreciated.

Estate Gifts

Including Scouting in your will and estate plans can financially benefit you and your family, as well as the council in future years. Please contact Mike Egan (503.225.5779), who can provide advice and assistance with will preparation.
