USA Archery Instructor Level 1 is the supervision level required to run a Scouts BSA Archery range at both the Troop and District/Council level and also what is required to serve as a Scouts BSA Merit Badge Counselor. The process to get certification is a 2 step process which requires both online coursework through USA Archery and then an in-person practical portion at the range with a USA Archery Level 2 Trainer. It is the participants responsibly to get registered and successfully complete the online portion with USA Archery as a prerequisite to attending the practical portion. Upon successfully completing the online class, participants will be issued a course completion certificate which will then need to be presented to the course instructor when registering for the in-person session at Camp Meriwether. All equipment will be provided.

Step 1

How to Enroll in a USA Archery Level 1 Online Course and BSA Level 1 Practical Course at Camp Meriwether.

Login to your USA Archery Membership Services Account or create one.

On the left-hand side of your screen, click on Courses.

Under Name, scroll down to USA Archery Level 1 Instructor Online Course. This course is usually listed on the last page.

Click on ENTER NOW

Click on + ENTER

Read the instructions and follow the prompts

Once you are signed up, please complete the online before the course.

NOTE: You cannot complete the Level 1 Practical Course if you have not completed the Level 1 Online Course.

After passing the online course register for the USA Archery Level 1 Practical Course.

Login to your USA Archery Membership Services Account

On the left-hand side of your screen, click on Courses.

Click on Filter, enter a from date of February 18, 2023, and State of Oregon

Click on DONE

Select BSA Level 1 Practical by clicking ENTER NOW

Upon registration on the Archery site, you will receive a link to CPC to pay your fee. Fees must be paid in full in prior to attendance.
