Join Us to Celebrate Scouting’s Impact in the Salem Area

The Eagles Soar event celebrates the accomplishments of the most recent Eagle Scouts in the Salem area and raises funds to help grow and sustain Scouting in Marion County.

Join emcee Olivia Sproad, the first female Eagle Scout in Salem, as we honor local Eagle Scouts past and present and share how Scouting continues to prepare youth for life.

When: April 28th, 2023, 5:30 -7:30 p.m.

Where: Willamette Heritage Center

What is the purpose at the Salem Eagles Soar?

The goal of the event is to honor local Eagle Scouts and raise funds to help extend Scouting to every neighborhood in Salem.

Where is the event and where can I park?

The Eagles Soar is at the Willamette Heritage Center’s Spinning Room, 1313 Mill St SE, Salem. Parking is readily available in the parking lot at the Mill. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by Eagle Scouts, who will direct you to the Spinning Room.

What does it cost to attend?
There is no up front cost. Fundraising events throughout the night will include a live auction, silent auction and paddle raise.

Happy hour, including drinks, starts at 5:30 p.m., with dinner and program at 6 p.m.

Do I need to pre-register?

Pre-registration is helpful, and you can do so here.

What should I wear?
Business casual or casual attire is fine. As this is a community event, Scout uniforms need not be worn.
What kind of auction items will be offered?
There will be both silent and live auctions during the night. The items for bid include a Puerto Vallarta hotel stay, guided fishing trips, Blazers and Beavers themed baskets, an overnight stay with dinner at Pier 39 Astoria and an off season week at Sunriver. Additional items continue to be added.
What other ways are there to donate?

In addition to the live auctions, there will be a paddle raise during the evening. Companies can also sponsor the event with cash donations.

Are there donation gifts for different levels of support?

Donors who pledge or donate $250 or more will receive a commemorative Salem Eagles Soar 2023 patch!

 

Can I invite friends to come?

Yes, please invite all those who are inclined to support a great cause. Just have them RSVP their attendance.

Can’t attend the event? You can still help support youth in the Salem area by donating to local Scouting!
