The perfect place for your first outdoor adventure
Experience Camp Ireland
Camp Ireland is located about two miles north of downtown Hillsboro, Oregon, nearly surrounded by McKay Creek. The camp is part of a wetland/nature preserve area that offers a close to town experience of the out of doors or a great jumping off point for youth who haven’t had the chance to get out and explore the “woods”. The majority of camp is accessible only in the summer by crossing a bridge to the meadow.
Camp amenities include den site shelters, kybos/portable bathrooms, an open field for field game activities, BB and archery ranges, an obstacle course and nature trail to explore. There is a small camp trading post for summer camp necessities and summertime delights as well.
The majority of camp is accessible only in the summer by crossing a bridge to the meadow. In mid to late October the bridge is removed due to the rain and water levels. It is retuned in the Spring usually around Mid-April, depending on the rain.
There are 5 designated camp areas at Ireland. All the sites at camp Ireland are tent sites. There are not any platforms or Adirondacks.
