A special event for all Scouts where leadership skills are taught in a hands-on environment through games and interactive classes.

2020 CYL Schedule:

9:30 – Intro: Zoom meetings and games you can do in a Zoom meeting

10:00 – How to Lead a Virtual Troop. Running a Zoom meeting as a leader of your Troop/Patrol. Court of Honor Troop program planning conferences online)

11:00 – Troop advancement/How To. Advancement without meetings, Video taping lessons that follow EDGE, Merit badges, expand horizons)

 12:00 – Wauna La-Mon’Tay Lodge Chief introduction to the Order of the Arrow

12:30 – Troop planning/How to. Planning outings that can be balanced with the restrictions, independent patrols how to meet, how to encourage without Troop meetings

 1:30 – Service Projects. How we continue our traditions of service in the pandemic.

 2:30 – Diversity and Inclusion for Scouts. New Eagle Required Merit Badge for 2021. This session will cover recent steps the BSA has taken to become a more diverse and equitable organization. Guidance will be provided on how to incorporate focus on diversity and inclusion into Scouting, best practices in diversity and inclusion, and next steps for further learning. This session will also include introductory information on the new DEI merit badge.
