BECAUSE OF YOU, WE WERE ABLE TO PROVIDE 665 YOUTH AND FAMILIES AN UNFORGETTABLE OUTDOOR EXPERIENCE AT BUTTE CREEK SCOUT RANCH THIS SUMMERYOU STEPPED UP WHEN TRAGEDY STRUCK
Last year’s devastating wildfires destroyed all but one of Butte Creek’s campsites. Mini-Adirondack’s, group shelters, flag poles, and much of the area surrounding them were burned to the ground.
A TRUE TEAM EFFORT
When one of Cascade Pacific Council’s camps needed help, we reached out to our volunteers and community – they answered our call and joined hands and gave of their time, talent, and treasure.
Butte Creek once provided adventure for them and they too share memories with this year’s 665 families of riding horses or enjoying the beauty that camp offers.
THE REBUILD PROCESS WOULD TAKE TIME AND AN ANTICIPATED $200,000.
VOLUNTEERS AND COMMUNITY FRIENDS LIKE CAMBIA HEALTH SOLUTIONS AND INDEPENDENT DONORS HELPED RAISE THE NECESSARY FUNDS TO RESTORE CAMP AND MAKE IT EVEN BETTER THAN BEFORE!
Rebuilding Butte Creek Scout Ranch
Volunteers from across the council’s 19-county service area of SW Washington and NW Oregon offered their time to help clear debris, becoming an integral part of helping invite families back to Butte Creek Summer Camp.
And just like that, by summer of 2021 we were able to welcome Scouts back to the wild, wild west!
From the moment each Cub Scout steps onto Main Street and lays eyes on the old frontier town of Butte Creek, they find it easy to imagine themselves as part of the wild west.
YOUR GIFT ALLOWED YOUTH TO PARTICIPATE IN EXPERIENTIAL OUTDOOR EDUCATION PROGRAMING AT CAMP LIKE HORSEBACK RIDING, EXPLORING NATURE, AND EARNING ADVANCEMENTS. 104 GIRLS, 276 BOYS, AND 286 ADULTS PARTICIPATED IN CAMP AT BUTTE CREEK IN 2021 ALONE!

CAMP4ALL. . . A WAY TO SUPPORT ALL CPC CAMPS. . .
Camp4All is the Cascade Pacific Council’s philanthropic campaign which collects donations that are 100% restricted to support camping and camp property-related expenses. Different than the formerly executed, “Friends of Scouting” fundraiser – 100% of these proceeds directly support our camping programs and properties, which is quite exciting.
