Camp Staff available jobs

Camps are seeking staff members for numerous positions (see age minimums for each). While all staff participate in the campwide portions of the program, specialists are needed to direct and operate specific areas. Full job descriptions are available on request.:

Staff in Training – (Age 15+) This two week experience allows prospective camp staff to work in different areas of camp and thoroughly consider whether full-time camp staff is for them. 

Program Staff Members (Age 16+)- assist area directors in providing quality learning opportunities for campers, and assist with general program and camp operations throughout each session. 

Program Area Directors: (see below for age requirements) Our camps have areas that specialize in Nature Studies, Outdoor Skills, Crafts, STEM, and Trading Post, along with the featured areas below. For each area, a passionate, skilled leader is needed. We support much of the additional training required to help our directors prepare to provide excellent program to our Scouts. 

Shooting  Sports (18+ BB’s/Archery. 21+ Rifle/Shotgun) – Our shooting sports staff instruct campers in a variety of shooting sports in a program that has a strong emphasis on safety, and fundamentals of shooting.

Climbing : (21+) Two camps offer climbing and rappelling programs, one on a tower and one on natural rock. Certifications and pre-camp training provided and required.

Horse Program : (21+) Two camps offer horse  programs, one for older youth and one for younger. Certifications and pre-camp training provided and required.

Bikes: (18+) Two camps offer mountain bike programs, one with a pump track and downhill course, and the other featuring trail riding into the surrounding forest.

Camp Cook/ Food Service Manager  (21+) Manage food service operations and provide outstanding meals to campers and staff.  Minimum food handlers card, preferable to have Food Manager Certification such as ServSafe.

Camp Medic (18+, requires medical training) – provide health services to campers and staff.  Must be an EMT, Paramedic, RN, LPA, Physician, PN, NATA trainer, Wilderness First Responder, or Military Corpsman.

Waterfront/Aquatics (age 21+) Lead staff and Scouts in safe, fun swimming and boating experiences and training. 

Summer Ranger (age 21+) Manage maintenance projects in camp during the summer, working with an assigned year-round ranger to carry out planned projects. Work with adult leaders in camp who wish to work on service projects for the camp. Ensure safety of equipment and facilities for campers and staff.
